The Texas Rangers have reportedly reached a deal with OF/DH Joc Pederson as the team continues to make offseason moves.

What We Know: Multiple reports say the Rangers and Pederson have agreed to terms in free agency, pending a physical.

ESPN’s Buster Olney says the agreement is for 2 years, $37 million.

Pederson, a former All-Star and World Series champ, is coming off of a big year with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Pederson also previously played in Los Angeles with Rangers star Corey Seager.

What We Don’t Know: The Rangers have not confirmed the deal.

By The Numbers: Pederson hit .275 with 23 homes in 449 plate appearances last year.

The left-handed slugger is known for his ability to smash right-handed pitching.

He put up a .923 OPS against righties in 2024.

At this point in his career, the 32-year-old is strictly a platoon player.

He only had 42 plate appearances against lefties.

Pederson’s pop comes with a bit of swing-and-miss. He struck out 23.4% of the time in 2024.
