Artwork Over East Side's North New Braunfels Bridge Gets A

Aging artwork at the North New Braunfels overpass has finally been replaced, creating a bright new entrance to the East Side.

Created in 1997, the original artwork honoring Martin Luther King Jr. had faded over time.

Last year, the office of Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez (D2) hosted a contest to select new designs for the art instillation, and submissions from artists Kat Cadena and Sonya Castro received the most votes.
