Dallas Cowboys Make Key Picks in 2025 NFL Draft

DALLAS – The Dallas Cowboys have made significant strides in bolstering their roster by selecting standout players during the 2025 NFL Draft. Key picks include Alabama offensive guard Tyler Booker, Boston College defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku, and East Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr.

First Round: Tyler Booker

The Cowboys kicked off their draft with the 12th overall pick, selecting Tyler Booker from Alabama. This promising offensive guard is noted for his exceptional skills, which are expected to enhance the Cowboys’ offensive line.

Second Round: Donovan Ezeiruaku

In the second round, Dallas continued to build its defensive strength by picking Donovan Ezeiruaku from Boston College with the 44th overall selection. Ezeiruaku had an impressive college career, being named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 and winning the Ted Hendricks Award for the nation’s top defensive end.

During the 2024 season, he recorded 16.5 sacks over 12 games and forced three fumbles. Ezeiruaku showcases exceptional athleticism, testing well at the combine, although some scouts have expressed concerns over his ability to compete physically at the next level due to his lean frame.

Third Round: Shavon Revel Jr.

To further augment their secondary, the Cowboys selected Shavon Revel Jr. from East Carolina with the 76th overall pick. Revel, a physical cornerback, demonstrated strong performance prior to a knee injury that sidelined him for much of the 2024 season. Despite the setback, he made a significant impact in 2023, leading his team with 12 pass break-ups and earning a second-team All-American Athletic Conference selection.

Revel is expected to be ready for action by July, adding depth and versatility to the Cowboys’ defense.
