DALLAS — In a significant development, Dallas police have apprehended a 30-year-old man, identified as Garrett Hudgens, linked to two recent homicides, one involving a 71-year-old man in a wheelchair.

Incident at Fair Park
According to authorities, officers responded to a shooting incident in the 3700 block of Parry Avenue shortly before 4:30 a.m. on the day of the Fair Park shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Percy Howard, 71, severely injured with multiple gunshot wounds while in his wheelchair. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Second Shooting on North Cockrell Hill Road
Hudgens is also facing charges linked to another shooting incident that occurred on April 4 on North Cockrell Hill Road. Police were alerted to a shooting at 6:30 a.m., where they found 51-year-old Jimmie Walker had been shot. Like Howard, Walker succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
