Fort Worth Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Wife’s Murder
Fort Worth, Texas – Christopher Robertson has been sentenced to 50 years in prison following his conviction for the murder of his wife, Kristlynne Robertson. The conviction stems from a tragic incident in which he admitted to fatally shooting her before concealing her body in a tarp within their home.
Details of the Incident
The disturbing events unfolded on April 19, 2024, when Fort Worth police responded to a report from Robertson’s brother. Upon entering the residence on Whitman Avenue, officers discovered the deceased body of 34-year-old Kristlynne, wrapped in a blue tarp. The investigation revealed that her body had been concealed for approximately one week before its discovery.
According to court documents, Robertson’s brother described returning home after several days away to find a strong foul odor emanating from the house. When he located his brother, he found him heavily intoxicated and in the same room as Kristlynne’s body.
The Medical Examination
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner confirmed that Kristlynne had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, providing crucial evidence in the case against Robertson. Initial attempts by police to question him were hindered by his level of intoxication, which impaired his ability to respond effectively.
Admissions and Arrest
In a significant development, Robertson called 911 the following day and admitted responsibility for the murder. During this call, he expressed concern about the repercussions, stating, “My father-in-law is going to kill me. I actually killed his daughter.” Further interrogations two days later led to additional admissions of guilt, with Robertson expressing a desire to be taken into custody.
Robertson is now facing a future without the possibility of parole for 50 years, having been remanded in the Tarrant County Jail since his arrest on April 21, 2024.
The Impact on the Family
The tragedy of this incident is compounded by the fact that Kristlynne was the mother of five children. Assistant District Attorney Riley Reynolds highlighted the lasting consequences of Robertson’s actions on their family, stating, “He left five children without a mother.”
