FORT WORTH, Texas – Oklahoma and Navy will play in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth on Friday.

Several of Oklahoma’s top players will not be playing in Friday’s game as several players, including quarterback Jackson Arnold, entered the transfer portal.
Navy head coach Brian Newberry grew up only a few miles from the University of Oklahoma campus, and the first college game he attended as a kid was to watch the Sooners.
Previous Meeting: In the only previous meeting between the teams, Navy won 10-0 at Oklahoma in October 1965.
By The Numbers: Oklahoma wraps up its first season in the Southeastern Conference with its 26th consecutive bowl appearance. The only school with a longer streak is Georgia with 28.
It is Oklahoma’s first time in the Armed Forces Bowl.
30 Navy players are from Texas.
Eyes to the Skies: The national anthem before the game will be followed by a flyover by four F-35 Lightning II built by Lockheed Martin.
The planes come from Fort Worth’s 301st Fighter Wing based at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base.
Each pilot and the crew would honor each pilot and their crew during the 4th quarter.
