Shooting Incident in Lewisville Under Investigation
LEWISVILLE – Authorities in Lewisville are actively searching for a masked suspect following a shooting incident at a residential property.
Incident Details
On Monday morning, around 9 a.m., a hooded figure approached a house located on Kingston Drive and opened fire. Surveillance footage, obtained by FOX 4, captures the assailant firing approximately a dozen shots before fleeing the scene.
Remarkably, there were no reported injuries, although the homeowner’s 19-year-old son was inside the house at the time, asleep.
Investigation Efforts
Lewisville police are canvassing the area for additional surveillance video and are keen on gathering leads regarding the suspect. The gunman was described as wearing dark clothing, sunglasses, and distinctive black and white shoes.
According to Public Information Officer Rachel Roberts, investigators are still attempting to determine the motive behind the shooting. “What we’re trying to ascertain is who that suspect is, and we’re looking for the community to help us provide any information that will lead us there,” she stated. Police indicated there’s no known connection between the shooter and the residents of the home, leaving the potential motives unclear.
Community Reactions
Homeowner Ivanhoe Solorzano expressed his anger, stating, “I want to whoop his ass, to be honest. And I want to ask him why he did it.” He noted that his family has lived in the area for a long time without any previous issues.
Neighbors were equally shocked by the event, with one resident, Alex Redmon, recalling the sound of gunfire. “I wanted to get away from it as fast as I could. I knew what it sounded like. This is the first time that anything like this has happened,” he said, highlighting the previously tranquil nature of their neighborhood.
