Suspect Turns Himself In Following Dallas Shooting Incident

DALLAS – A significant development has occurred in the homicide case involving 58-year-old Christopher Simms, who was fatally shot on March 27, 2025. The suspect, identified as 54-year-old Simuel Norice, voluntarily surrendered to the Dallas Police Department on April 19.

The incident unfolded in the 2600 block of Frankford Road just before 1 p.m. on the day of the shooting. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Simms with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location.

Apprehension of the Suspect

Following a thorough investigation, authorities issued a notice seeking Norice’s apprehension approximately three weeks post-incident. His capture was expedited when he voluntarily presented himself to the police.
