Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders could be the last for Mike McCarthy as Dallas Cowboys head coach.

What We Know: Sunday’s game concludes the five-year contract McCarthy signed when he took the job from Jerry Jones in 2020.

The game against the Commanders will be held at AT&T Stadium, a place where McCarthy led the Packers to a world title in 2011.

What They’re Saying: “I won a Super Bowl in that home locker room at AT&T Stadium. So I have a very strong emotional attachment that it hits me every time I walk in there and every time I walk out. So, yeah, I’m definitely aware of it. I’m not thinking about it right now, but, yeah, I’m definitely in tune with that,” McCarthy said on Thursday.

By The Numbers: McCarthy has a 49-34 record as the Cowboys head coach, including three consecutive 12-5 seasons.

Overall, this is McCarthy’s 18th year as an NFL head coach.

He is 13th all-time in wins. Sunday would be the 175th of his career.
