Elvis Andrus Inducted into Texas Rangers Hall of Fame
ARLINGTON, Texas – Renowned former Texas Rangers shortstop, Elvis Andrus, has received the honor of induction into the team’s Hall of Fame.
Career Highlights
Andrus, who played with the Rangers from 2009 to 2020, became a fan favorite with his vibrant personality and infectious smile. Throughout his tenure, he was recognized as a two-time All-Star and contributed significantly to the team’s two World Series appearances.
After a brief stint with the Oakland Athletics and the Chicago White Sox, Andrus officially retired as a Ranger on September 6, 2024, marking the end of an era.
Post-Retirement Role
Following his retirement, the Venezuelan native will take on a new role as a pre and postgame analyst for select games on the Rangers Sports Network in 2025.

Induction Ceremony Details

A special exhibit dedicated to Andrus will be featured in the Texas Rangers Archives Vault at Globe Life Field, starting in late March.
