Investigation Underway After Projectile Hits Frisco Elementary School

Published in Frisco, Texas – On Thursday, a concerning incident occurred at Hosp Elementary School when a projectile struck the building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Incident Details

Shortly before 10 a.m., Frisco police confirmed that a projectile had entered the school’s structure from the outside. The specifics of the projectile, including its exact nature and origin, remain unclear.

School Response

In reaction to the incident, the Frisco Independent School District (ISD) implemented a temporary “secure” status for the school. This protocol restricted entry and exit as a safety measure while authorities began their investigation.

According to school officials, all students were reported safe, alleviating initial concerns about their well-being. Parents were later informed of the situation and encouraged to pick up their children promptly to facilitate the ongoing investigation.

The Frisco Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officer G. Cottingham stated, “The circumstances surrounding the incident and the source of the projectile are currently being looked into, and numerous department resources have been tasked to the investigation.”

The investigations aim to ascertain what the projectile was and from where it originated. Authorities are currently working closely with the school district as they collect evidence and examine the area.

For more information about this developing story, updates will be provided by both the Frisco ISD and the Frisco Police Department.
