J Creative International Expands Its Creative Footprint to Houston as Sponsor of The Opulence Experience

J Creative International expands into Houston, sponsoring The Opulence Experience and celebrating fashion, culture, creativity, and achievement.
J Creative International (JCI), the Miami-based creative house founded by Creative Director and Fashion Producer Jennifer Ubebe, recently extended its creative presence to Houston as one of the sponsors of The Opulence Experience, a cultural and fashion experience created by fashion producer, MC and event host Larry Foreman.
Centered around achievement, culture, fashion and meaningful connection, The Opulence Experience brought together entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals and high achievers, with a particular emphasis on celebrating excellence within the African diaspora.
For Jennifer, JCI’s decision to sponsor the experience was about more than visibility. It began with a conversation with Larry and a shared appreciation for intentionality.
“When Larry first spoke to me about The Opulence Experience, he walked me through his deck and explained his vision and what he wanted people to experience,” says Jennifer. “What immediately stood out to me was his intentionality and attention to detail. There was a reason behind what he was creating, and that resonated with me.”
As the founder and Creative Director of J Creative International, Jennifer has built her own creative philosophy around many of those same principles.
“Excellence and intentionality are at the heart of how I approach creative direction,” says Jennifer. “I pay attention to the details, how something looks, of course, but even more importantly, how it makes people feel. Listening to Larry speak about his vision, I could see an alignment in the way we think about creating experiences. That was ultimately why I decided JCI should support what he was building.”
Celebrating Achievement and the African Diaspora
At the heart of The Opulence Experience was the idea of bringing accomplished individuals into the same room to connect, celebrate culture and recognize achievement.
The evening brought together high achievers, entrepreneurs, creatives, notable guests and professionals, particularly from within the African diaspora.
For Jennifer, that aspect of the experience carried personal significance.
“Larry and I are both originally from Nigeria, so there was already a shared cultural connection between us,” says Jennifer. “I wasn’t born in the United States. I moved here from Italy, so I can personally relate to the experience of building a life and establishing yourself somewhere that wasn’t originally home.”
“There is something powerful about being in a room with people from the diaspora who have created businesses, careers and opportunities for themselves. Behind every successful person is a story of how they arrived there, and I think creating spaces where those stories and people can intersect is important.”

Fashion, Culture and an Evening Built Around Experience
Fashion played a central role in the evening, with a showcase featuring designs from multiple designers and bringing fashion into a wider celebration of culture and creativity.
But The Opulence Experience extended beyond fashion.
Guests experienced music, live performances, entertainment and comedy throughout the evening, alongside curated cocktails and Nigerian-inspired cuisine. Jollof rice and other dishes brought another layer of culture and hospitality to the experience.
“The food was amazing, the jollof rice was so good,” says Jennifer. “But what I loved was that there were different layers to the experience. You had fashion, music, entertainment, food and cocktails, and then you had this room filled with interesting people.”
“The designers, vendors, entertainers, sponsors and guests all brought something different. Everyone I encountered was amazing, and there was such a great energy throughout the evening.”
Supporting Another Creative’s Vision
There was also a natural connection between Jennifer and Larry as two professionals working within fashion and live experiences, as well as two Nigerians who understand the importance of culture, community and representation.
Larry’s professional work spans fashion production, event creation, MC work and event hosting, allowing him to move between developing experiences behind the scenes and engaging audiences in front of the room.
Jennifer’s work through J Creative International spans creative direction, fashion production, styling, visual storytelling, editorial production and experiential concepts.
That shared understanding of production gave Jennifer an additional appreciation for the work behind The Opulence Experience.
“As a producer myself, I understand how much happens before anyone ever walks into the room,” says Jennifer. “People experience the finished event for a few hours, but behind that are countless decisions, conversations and details. I appreciate people who have a vision and are willing to do the work required to bring that vision into reality.”
For Jennifer, sponsoring The Opulence Experience was not about claiming a creative role in its production. The Opulence Experience was Larry Foreman’s vision, and JCI chose to support it as one of its sponsors.
“I think that distinction is important,” says Jennifer. “Larry created this experience. I was there as one of his sponsors because I believed in what he was creating.”
“There is also something important about creatives supporting other creatives. You don’t always have to be the person creating the experience. Sometimes you recognize excellence in someone else’s vision and decide that it deserves your support.”
JCI’s Introduction to Houston
The sponsorship also marked a new geographic moment for J Creative International.
Based in Miami, JCI continues to develop relationships and creative opportunities beyond South Florida, and The Opulence Experience provided an introduction to Houston’s creative and entrepreneurial community.
The trip was particularly memorable for Jennifer because it was her first visit to the city.
“This was actually my first time in Houston, and I loved it,” says Jennifer. “The people were incredibly welcoming, and there is such an interesting mix of culture, creativity, entrepreneurship and ambition in the city. I will definitely be visiting again.”
For JCI, entering a new city is not simply about being able to say the company has expanded its footprint. Jennifer wants that growth to happen through genuine relationships and meaningful creative alignment.
“The way I want JCI to grow is intentionally,” says Jennifer. “It’s not about being everywhere just for the sake of saying we’re there. I want us to build genuine relationships with people, creatives and brands whose work and values make sense alongside ours.”

Where Vision Meets Intentionality
Looking back on the experience, Jennifer says what she encountered in Houston reflected what Larry had initially described during the conversation that led to JCI’s sponsorship.
“When someone shows you a deck, they’re showing you an idea,” says Jennifer. “Then you arrive and get to see how that idea translates into reality.”
“With Larry, I could see the attention to detail he had spoken about. I could see the intention behind bringing these particular people together and creating something that celebrated fashion, culture and achievement.”
For J Creative International, the sponsorship ultimately represented more than having its name associated with an event. It represented the type of people, ideas and creative visions JCI wants to support as the creative house continues to grow.
“Creativity will always be central to JCI, but intentionality is just as important to me,” says Jennifer. “When I see vision, excellence and intentionality come together, that is something I want to support.”
“And that’s why J Creative International was proud to be one of the sponsors of The Opulence Experience.”
