LEWISVILLE, TX – The Lewisville Police Department has apprehended a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on February 15, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Luis Tiant Kerby.

The Arrest of Bobby Craig

Authorities arrested 44-year-old Bobby Craig under a murder warrant, with assistance from both the Celina and Frisco Police Departments. Craig has been moved to the Lewisville City Jail as the investigation continues.

According to Officer Rachel Roberts of the Lewisville Police Department, “We appreciate the support and coordination of our partner agencies in bringing this case to a significant milestone.”

Details of the Incident

The tragic incident transpired just before 8:30 PM on February 15, when police were alerted to reports of gunfire near the 1600 block of South State Highway 121 Business. Upon arrival, they found Kerby unresponsive in the driver’s seat of his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but unfortunately, Kerby was pronounced dead.

Following the shooting, detectives from the Lewisville Police Department took charge of the investigation, working diligently over the weekend to process the crime scene, canvas the surrounding area, and conduct interviews with witnesses.

Ongoing Investigation

The investigation into this case remains active as law enforcement continues to gather evidence and follow leads. The Lewisville Police Department has stated that they will withhold further details to ensure the integrity of the ongoing proceedings.
